HELP WIN THE LEGAL FIGHT FOR THE NORTH FIELD

A lawsuit has been filed against Boulder County, stating that the county has short-changed area taxpayers. The complaint alleges that Boulder County failed to match an obligation to Gunbarrel taxpayers that came from a 1993 ballot measure. Specifically, the suit claims that the County neglected its duty to Gunbarrel taxpayers by failing to match the $1.9M that was raised by Gunbarrel taxpayers for acquisition of open space.

VIEW LEGAL COMPLAINT

To date, Gunbarrel residents, represented by the Gunbarrel Public Improvement District GPID), have raised $2.3 million dollars toward this effort.  Boulder County, however, has contributed only $1.3 million dollars of the promised $1.9M.  They owe the community of Gunbarrel $600k in Open Space lands!

The purchase of the North Twin Lakes field would satisfy that debt to the community!
